My dreams used to be about being a helpless kid.
My gun did no damage, my weapons were nerf and the evil kept coming,
Now I dream of far galaxies, grand heroism and space adventures,
In all my dreams I'm the king of adventure,
And it all started right here.

I wrote a little poetry while at work. Mostly it was a tiny introspective about how my dreams have changed.
I wouldn't call them nightmares, but I did used to dream about being powerless to kill monsters. Now my dreams are pretty much inexplicable Guardians of the Galaxy Style adventures.
I chalk it up to changes I've made in my life, professionally and personally. I feel more in control of my life and I think that shows in my dreams.
Anyway enjoy my shitty poetry.

This may sound weird, but there's an interesting "shape" to this. The longest sentence is about fear, and the shortest is about who you are now. It gives the feel of a sculptor chipping away what's not needed anymore.
